Jeannie P. Baliles, wife of Virginia Governor Gerald L. Baliles, earned a B.A. in History from Washington College in 1962 and an M.A.T. in History from Wesleyan University in 1963. As First Lady of Virginia, 1985-1989, she served as a member and honorary chairperson of various arts, mental health, and historical groups.
